Key Responsibilities:

Interpretation of Technical Documents:

Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work orders to understand fabrication requirements, dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

Layout and Marking:

Lay out and mark dimensions and reference points on materials, such as steel, aluminum, or other alloys, according to drawings and specifications.

Utilize various measuring tools including tape measures, squares, levels, protractors, and scribes.

Material Handling and Preparation:

Select appropriate materials and components for the job.

Cut, grind, drill, and shape metal components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery (e.g., band saws, grinders, drills).
