Site O&M Engineer / Lead

Job Description:

The Site O&M Engineer / Lead will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and maintenance activities at the solar power plant to ensure maximum plant availability, optimal performance, and strict compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end site-level O&M activities for solar power plants, including preventive and breakdown maintenance.

• Monitor plant performance, generation data, and losses; identify gaps and drive corrective actions.

• Coordinate with central monitoring teams to ensure high plant availability and PR (Performance Ratio).

• Supervise site technicians, vendors, and subcontractors for O&M activities.

• Ensure timely execution of scheduled maintenance, module cleaning, inverter servicing, and equipment inspections.

• Handle fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and restoration of plant operations within defined TATs.

• Maintain site documentation, including logbooks, maintenance records, SOPs, and statutory registers.

• Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines, electrical safety standards, and company policies.

• Support audits, inspections, and coordination with OEMs, EPCs, and external stakeholders.

• Assist in spares planning, inventory control, and vendor coordination at the site level.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering.

• 3–8 years of hands-on experience in site-level O&M of solar power plants.
