SR. ACCOUNTANT FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY - SPONGE IRON/MS BILLETS/TMT BARS - GUJARAT

• Financial Reporting: 

  Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and complex accounting reports. 

   

• Account Reconciliation: 

  Manage and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank statements, and general ledger accounts. 

   

• Compliance: 

  Ensure compliance with GAAP principles, internal accounting policies, and tax regulations. 

   

• Auditing: 

  Assist with and direct internal and external audits, acting as a liaison between auditors and the finance team. 

   

• Process Improvement: 

  Develop and maintain accounting systems and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 

   

• Budgeting & Forecasting: 

  Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts, and analyze budget variances. 

   

• Financial Analysis: 

  Analyze financial information, identify cost-saving strategies, and report on financial data. 

   

• Team Support: 

  Mentor, train, and supervise junior accounting staff, and provide technical advice to management. 

   

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is typically required. 
   

• Certifications: CPA certification or a master's degree is often preferred. 
   

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs). 
   

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical ability to manage complex financial data and identify discrepancies. 
   

• Accuracy: High attention to detail and a strong aptitude for numbers. 
   

• Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of GAAP, accounting procedures, and financial statement preparation.
