Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator
Job Description:
As a Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator in a large-scale, 24x7 operational environment, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the organization’s core IT infrastructure. This position requires deep technical expertise and a hands-on approach to managing middleware platforms, system configurations, and integration layers that support business-critical applications.
The role focuses on supporting modern, containerized applications running in environments like Kubernetes and built with cloud-native technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring these systems are properly installed, correctly configured, integrated with other services, and consistently maintained for optimal performance.
You will work closely with application developers, security teams to enforce protocols and maintain secure hosting environments, and infrastructure teams across the organization to ensure seamless application integration and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Setup, configure, and manage Identity Management Systems including Red Hat SSO (Keycloak) integrated with government identity platforms.
• Deploy and maintain web runtimes like Tomcat, Jetty, Node.js (PM2) for running enterprise and micro front-end applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure middleware compatibility with apps developed in Java, TypeScript, Python, PHP, and Rust.
• Support front-end teams using Angular, Nuxt.js, Flutter to ensure optimized integration and deployment pipelines.
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and log aggregation systems using the EFK Stack.
• Administer container orchestration platforms like Rancher (Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and security tools like Veracode.
• Configure and monitor Kafka as the core messaging system for high-throughput, event-driven architectures.
• Administer KrakenD API Gateway to manage secure, scalable API traffic.
• Maintain Redis caching layers and integrate CacheFly CDN to optimize content delivery and performance.
• Deploy and configure Apache HTTPD and Apache Reverse Proxy for application routing and security.
• Monitor infrastructure and application layers using tools like WhatsUp Gold, and troubleshoot across system boundaries.
• Ensure consistent adherence to UX design guidelines including internal design systems and Material Design.
• Support and maintain application workloads across Hyper-V and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) virtualized environments.
• Work closely with security and operations teams to meet DevSecOps and compliance requirements.
Technical Competencies:
• Identity Management: Red Hat SSO (Keycloak), OpenID Connect, SAML2, OAuth2, Integration with UAE PASS or similar digital identity platforms.
• Web Runtimes: Apache HTTPD, Apache Reverse Proxy, Tomcat, Jetty, PM2, NodeJS.
• Programming Support: Understanding of Java, Python, PHP, TypeScript, Rust.
• Frontend Integration: Experience supporting Angular, NuxtJS, and Flutter-based deployments.
• Databases: Administration and tuning of Oracle, PostgreSQL; log aggregation using EFK (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana).
• DevSecOps & CI/CD: Hands-on with GitLab pipelines, Kubernetes (Rancher), image security scanning (Veracode).
• Messaging Systems: Kafka setup, scaling, topic management, monitoring.
• API Management: KrakenD API Gateway configuration and monitoring.
• Caching/CDN: Redis configuration, CDN management via CacheFly or similar.
• Monitoring Tools: WhatsUp Gold or equivalent monitoring tools for infrastructure and application uptime.
• Operating Systems & Virtualization: RHEL (8/9), Hyper-V administration, performance tuning.
• UX Framework Awareness: Familiarity with Material Design principles and enterprise UI frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in application/middleware administration.
Relevant certifications (Red Hat, Kubernetes, DevOps, Kafka, etc.) are a plus.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working in agile and security-conscious environments.
