Job Description:

The Client is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization that works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of IndiaIt acts as a liaison between industry, government, and civil society through advisory and consultative processes. The client is industry-led and industry-managed, with a large membership base representing both private and public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs. 

 

Overall Purpose 

To lead and develop the team of Executives and Executive Officers , Deputy Director. Market and promote Department’s programs for Revenue Generation. Organize capacity building programmes, Network with key  Business and Government representatives, Undertake initiatives for Membership Acquisition & Engagement, Ensure development of background reports, theme papers, talking points, meeting minutes etc. by designated team within the slated deadline.

 

Job Description & KRA

1.Secretarial Support for Council Operations:

    • Drafting agendas, recording detailed meeting minutes, and ensuring timely follow-ups on decisions taken during Council meetings.  
    • Maintaining accurate and organized records of all Council-related documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and adherence to institutional protocols. 

 

2. Stakeholder Networking:

    • Establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with key industry stakeholders to foster collaboration and mutual support.
    • Engaging with government officials at appropriate levels to advocate for policy initiatives and strengthen institutional presence.

 

3. Research & Data Management:

    • Conducting comprehensive research and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data on relevant issues to support strategic initiatives.
    • Developing and maintaining organized databases to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is available for decision-making and policy planning.

 

4. Policy Development & Member Engagement:

 

    • Engaging with members through direct and indirect channels to gather insights, concerns, and suggestions on existing policies.
    • Analyzing member feedback to identify gaps and opportunities, and translating these into actionable recommendations for policy enhancement.

 

5. Event & Activity Coordination:

    • Organizing and managing both physical and virtual events/activities, ensuring smooth coordination and timely delivery.
    • Monitoring event outcomes to meet predefined objectives and ensuring financial surplus is achieved within the stipulated timeline.

  11. Should be enthusiastic, have high energy, and have a strong work ethics.
  12. Possess a spirit and vision towards growth/ development of the Country.
  13. Excellent communication skills – should possess the ability to articulate thoughts precisely and concisely. 

 

Requirement: 

  1. Minimum 15–18 years of total professional experience in a similar organization (e.g., Industry Association, Trade Body, Chamber of Commerce).
  2. At least 7–10 years of experience in a mid-to-senior management role.
  3. Age between 40–47 years preferred.
  4. Proven track record of revenue generation and budget ownership.
  5. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams effectively.
