Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Senior Manager – Production

 

Education: B.E. Mech. / B. Tech.
Experience: 13-15 years of experience in the domain of ‘Production’ with exposure to sub-assembly and assembly process set up, mainly in textile machinery / components industry
Location: Sari, Ahmedabad
A.
Purpose
1.
To set up a ‘Production’ department for TeraSpin factory. To deliver required business results & develop a competent, motivated team aligned with the organizational strategy.
B.
Responsibilities
1.
Design & implementation of process for new products: Review the drawing, define the optimum manufacturing process, Set up the process. Document it. Give training to concern team members. Improved process should provide optimum results in all aspects.
2.
Design & implementation of methodology: Review existing method, find out the possibilities of improving existing method based on lean principle, ergonomics. Improved method should give optimum results.
3.
Study of all the existing machining & assembly processes: Find out the non-value-added activities. Take required actions with the help of cross function team to improve the same.
4.
Jigs / Fixtures development: Design & make new Jigs / Fixtures as per the requirement of the process. Study of existing Jigs / Fixtures, check the possibilities of improving the same. Keep critical spare parts ready & in usable condition with the help of CFT.
5.
Process development: As per the requirement take lead to develop the manufacturing process, establish the same. Make the documents & execution
6.
Time study: Take the time study for new product - manufacturing & assembly process, Take measures for optimization.

Cost Saving: Reduce overall assembly & manufacturing process time through introduction of low-cost automation, small improvements.

8. Poka-Yoke: Develop & implement Poka-Yoke specially for assembly & machining
processes. Document it & also define periodic inspection process for the same.
9. Training & Development: To develop team members, Jr. operators on the critical
workstation, conduct On Job Training, One Point lessons study.
