Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all workplace activities.

  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments (JSA, HIRA) to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

  • Lead and support incident investigations, determine root causes, and develop preventive measures.

  • Organize and deliver training programs on EHS topics such as PPE usage, emergency preparedness, waste management, etc.

  • Maintain all documentation related to safety incidents, training records, compliance checklists, permits, and audits.

  • Conduct emergency drills (fire, evacuation, spill response) and ensure readiness of emergency response teams.

  • Promote EHS awareness through campaigns, toolbox talks, safety days, and other engagement activities.

  • Monitor and manage hazardous substances and ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal as per environmental norms.

  • Assist in preparing EHS reports, KPIs, and MIS for internal use and regulatory submissions.

  • Coordinate with government authorities, external auditors, and stakeholders during inspections or certifications.

  • Continuously improve EHS processes through data analysis and feedback.


Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, ADIS, IOSH, OSHA) is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • 7 -10 years of experience in EHS roles in industries such as manufacturing, construction, pharmaceuticals, or logistics.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of EHS laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to conduct training, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations.
