Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints: Understanding technical drawings to plan welding layouts and ensure accurate assembly.
- Preparing materials: Cutting, fitting, and cleaning metal surfaces before welding.
- MIG welding: Performing the welding process using MIG equipment to join metal parts according to specifications.
- Inspecting welds: Checking for quality, strength, and adherence to standards.
- Maintaining equipment: Ensuring welding machines and tools are in good working order.
- Ensuring safety: Following safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues with welding equipment or the welding process.
- Collaboration: Working with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Training: May be involved in training junior welders or those learning robotic welding systems.
