Position:           Maintenance Fitter

Location:          Silvassa

Responsibilities:        

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to mechanical breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical components including belts, gears, bearings, shafts, conveyors, and drives.
• Assist in the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new packaging equipment.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure machinery is running efficiently and issues are reported and addressed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, or relevant regulations).
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or improvements to enhance machine reliability and performance.
• Keep tools, workshop, and spare parts organized and in good condition.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Required Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics; some electrical knowledge is an advantage.
• Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards.

 Required Qualification: - ITI - Fitter

 Salary: - Upto 2.40 LPA
