Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to oversee end-to-end operations of our plastic injection moulding unit for household products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, quality control, manpower management, and ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Local knowledge and fluency in the local language are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and dispatch.

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer requirements.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and minimize rejection rates.

• Optimize machine utilization and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.

• Manage workforce effectively, ensuring training, safety, and performance monitoring.

• Control costs by monitoring raw material usage, energy consumption, and operational efficiency.

• Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S).

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.

• Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Plastics Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Plastic Injection Moulding manufacturing, preferably in household products.

• Strong knowledge of moulding machines, tooling, and process parameters.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

• Fluency in local language (Swahili) and English is mandatory.

• Preference for candidates currently based in Tanzania or with prior work experience in East Africa.
