Job Description:

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in Vendor Development and Procurement activities. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to new product development, costing, fabrication, subcontracting, and SAP-based procurement processes, along with the ability to manage intercompany coordination from quotation to dispatch.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle intercompany business activities from quotation to dispatch.
  • Support new product development (NPD) through vendor coordination.
  • Prepare estimations and costing for procurement and development activities.
  • Interpret and work with engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate effectively with intercompany teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement activities aligned with INCOTERMS and import/export procedures.
  • Conduct market research and analyze sales/material data to ensure product competitiveness.
  • Handle subcontracted items and fabrication-related sourcing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards such as ASTM, AISI, ANSI, DIN, etc.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting using SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Hands-on experience in vendor development and procurement processes.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.

Preferred

  • Experience in project-based or machine manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to EOU (Export-Oriented Unit) environments.
