Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced SCM Purchase Manager with a strong background
in manufacturing, specifically in electrical or electronics industries. The ideal candidate will have 6-
10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management and be capable of leading a
team of 10 professionals. The role requires strategic management of the purchasing process,
supplier relationships, and ensuring timely procurement of materials for production.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of 10 procurement professionals, providing guidance, support,
and performance evaluations to ensure team goals are met.
Vendor Management & Negotiations:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to
ensure the best possible deals for the organization.
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
Oversee the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-
effective purchase of raw materials and components required for electrical or electronics
manufacturing.
Inventory Management:
Collaborate with the production and inventory control teams to ensure optimal stock levels,
minimize lead times, and prevent production delays.
Cost Optimization:
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain without
compromising on quality or timelines.
Supplier Evaluation & Audits:
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations, audits, and assessments to ensure
compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
Work closely with production, engineering, and finance departments to align procurement
with the company’s overall operational goals.
Risk Management:
Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth
operations.
Skills and Competencies:
Supply Chain amp; Procurement Expertise:
Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles, especially within the electrical
or electronics manufacturing industry.
Leadership & Team Management:
Proven ability to lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing
mentorship and driving team performance.
Vendor Negotiation & Relationship Management:
Strong negotiation skills with experience in managing supplier relationships and contracts.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical abilities to evaluate procurement processes, identify bottlenecks, and
develop efficient solutions.
ERP Systems Knowledge:
Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement management software to streamline
purchasing processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in electrical or electronics manufacturing is a must.
Strong understanding of procurement processes in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with cost optimization and risk management strategies in supply chains.
