Quality Assurance. (Asst. Mgr./Dy. Mgr./Manager)
Job Description:
The Quality Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality management system
(QMS) of the laboratory in compliance with NABL (ISO/IEC 17025) standards and FSSAI
regulations. The role ensures continuous improvement of processes, accurate testing, adherence to
regulatory guidelines, and implementation of best practices to maintain accreditation and approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the laboratory’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
Ensure strict compliance with NABL accreditation guidelines and FSSAI regulatory
standards.
Oversee document control, internal audits, management reviews, corrective & preventive
actions (CAPA), and proficiency testing.
Monitor and verify calibration, method validation, verification, and measurement traceability
of laboratory instruments.
Train and guide technical staff on quality standards, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and
regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with NABL assessors, FSSAI inspectors, and other regulatory bodies during
audits, surveillance, and renewals.
Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting, and maintenance of quality-related documentation.
Investigate non-conformities, customer complaints, and implement effective preventive
measures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of testing
services.
Ensure safety, hygiene, and compliance with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS)
where applicable.
Qualifications & Skills:
Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry,
Biotechnology, or related sciences.
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in a NABL-accredited laboratory, with at least 3–5
years in a leadership/quality management role.
Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, FSSAI regulations, and laboratory quality
management practices.
Hands-on experience in internal audits, method validation, equipment calibration, and
documentation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills to lead cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in MS Office and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) preffered
