Job Description:

Position:         Production Manager

Location:        Daman

Experience:    10 - 12 Years

Responsibilities:

• Production Operations
• Manage and supervise shift-wise production activities in the injection molding department.
• Ensure optimum machine utilization and minimal downtime.
• Set machine parameters as per product requirements and troubleshoot molding issues.
• Monitor cycle time, process parameters, and product quality.
• Machine & Process Handling
• Operate and maintain injection molding machines (e.g., Ferromatik Milacron, Haitian, Toshiba, etc.).
• Change molds and set tools as per production planning.
• Troubleshoot defects like short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, etc.
• Quality Assurance
• Work closely with the Quality team to maintain product standards.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and first-off approvals.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for process deviations.
• Team Management
• Supervise and guide machine operators and helpers during shifts.
• Train staff on machine operation, safety, and maintenance practices.
• Ensure compliance with workplace discipline and safety standards.
• Production Planning & Reporting
• Coordinate with the planning team to achieve daily/weekly production targets.
• Maintain daily production reports, downtime logs, and shift reports.
• Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with stores.
• Maintenance Coordination
• Report machine breakdowns and assist in minor troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and machine settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process sheets.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with production planning tools and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen (preferred).

Required Qualification: - Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Plastic
