Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Project Ownership: Manage the full project lifecycle—from inception to site closure and final payment collection.
  • Customer Interaction: Serve as the single point of contact for customers, ensuring clarity, responsiveness, and professional relationship management.
  • Contract Management: Review and interpret technical specifications, contractual obligations, and scope of work.
  • Planning & Execution: Develop project schedules, risk management plans and closely coordinate with internal as well external customer team to ensure timely execution.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with engineering, purchase, planning - production, quality, logistics, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project costs, cash flows, invoicing, and coordinate all commercial activities, including timely payment/s release till contract closing & receipt of final payment.
  • Site Oversight: Conduct regular site visits or oversee site updates, coordinate with erection/commissioning in-charge, and resolve technical or commercial issues.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to contract policies, international HSE norms, and contractual documentation requirements for project execution.
  • Closure: Achieve successful handover to the client, resolve punch points, and secure final payment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
    • PMT / PMP certification or equivalent professional project management qualification (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 5–15 years of project management experience in heavy engineering or EPC companies.
    • Proven track record of managing large contracts with international/domestic customers.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical and commercial acumen.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Hands-on experience in project planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
    • Ability to manage multi-stakeholder environments and handle high-pressure timelines.
