About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Purchase Officer to handle day-to-day procurement activities and vendor coordination. The role involves ensuring timely availability of materials, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting production requirements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchase cycle including requisitions, quotations, negotiations, and order processing.

• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships for timely and cost-effective sourcing.

• Negotiate terms, contracts, and pricing to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.

• Coordinate with production, stores, and accounts teams to align procurement with business needs.

• Monitor inventory levels and place orders to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.

• Maintain purchase records, vendor database, and generate regular MIS reports.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory guidelines in procurement processes.

Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of procurement processes in manufacturing/industrial setup.

• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/other ERP preferred).

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Diploma / MBA in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related field.

• 3 – 6 years of relevant experience in procurement/purchase.
