Position: Assistant Manager – Purchase

Qualification: Any Graduate

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the purchase function with a strong focus on cost optimization, vendor development, and timely procurement.

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for strategic sourcing.

• Negotiate long-term contracts, rate agreements, and credit terms with vendors.

• Plan, monitor, and control procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to cost and quality benchmarks.

• Collaborate with production, quality, and stores teams to align procurement with business requirements.

• Develop and implement systems for vendor performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

• Ensure statutory compliance in all procurement processes and vendor dealings.

• Prepare and present procurement reports, cost analyses, and savings achieved to senior management.

Skills Required

• Strong leadership, planning, and vendor management skills.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Thorough knowledge of procurement processes, taxation (GST), and commercial terms.

• Experience handling large-volume purchases and long-term contracts.

• Proficiency in ERP/SAP or similar procurement systems.

• Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments.
