Job Description:

Position:          Asst. Manager/Dy. Manager - QA (Assembly & Final Inspection)

Location:          Vapi

Experience:      5 - 8 Years

Industries:       Automobile

 

Responsibilities:     

  • Assembly Line Quality Control
  • Monitor and ensure quality during each stage of the assembly process.
  • Identify and contain non-conforming products immediately to avoid downstream issues.
  • Ensure adherence to work instructions, SOPs, and control plans at the line.
  • Final Quality Inspection
  • Supervise final product audits before dispatch.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and internal standards.
  • Maintain traceability and documentation of inspection records.
  • Problem Solving & RCA
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of in-line and final inspection defects.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to avoid recurrence.
  • Use quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and 7 QC tools effectively.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead and train quality inspectors assigned to assembly and final quality.
  • Conduct on-the-job training to improve awareness and skill levels of operators.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain daily quality reports, defect trend analysis, and line quality dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and documentation standards.
  • Customer Interface & Complaint Handling
  • Support customer quality audits and respond to concerns related to assembly quality.
  • Prepare 8D reports or similar structured responses for quality issues.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Drive initiatives to reduce in-line and final defects, rework, and rejections.
  • Participate in lean/Kaizen activities to improve overall product and process quality.

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, defect identification, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with quality tools: 7 QC tools, Poka-Yoke, CAPA, Control Plans, FMEA.
  • Team leadership, shop floor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Hands-on experience with instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, torque tools).

 

Required Qualification:- Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical/Electrical

Salary :- Upto 9.00 LPA
