Power BI Architect

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports. The role requires a strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices to deliver meaningful insights to business stakeholders. 

 
PBI Architect Skills: Strong understanding of the administrative side of PBI. The resource should be capable of setting up PBI from the ground up and providing guidance on best practices. • PBI Development Skills with an Eye for Design: The ability to create visually appealing dashboards is essential, as these dashboards will be executive level and public-facing operations dashboards. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models. 

• Translate business requirements into effective and scalable BI solutions. 

• Build and optimize DAX queries and measures for performance and accuracy. 

• Develop data models using Power Query, Power BI Desktop, and related tools. 

• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reports. 

• Work with SQL databases, data warehouses, and other data sources for integration. 

• Implement row-level security and data governance standards. 

• Collaborate with business teams to deliver intuitive and visually appealing dashboards. 

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve existing reports and datasets. 

Required Skills and Experience: 

• 10+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer (or similar BI role). 

• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query (M language). 

• Proficiency in DAX for creating measures, calculated columns, and KPIs. 

• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and relational databases. 

• Experience with SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning). 

• Ability to design executive-level and operational dashboards with a focus on usability and visual storytelling. 

• Knowledge of Power BI administration, workspaces, and deployment pipelines is a plus. 

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) preferred.
