Job Description:

About Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to drive regional sales operations for
water and wastewater treatment solutions, driving revenue growth, market penetration, and strategic
customer engagement. The role demands a high-performance mindset, strong technical acumen, and a proven
ability to close complex solution-based deals.

Qualifications: Desired Experience: Yrs of Exp / Nature of Exp

 BE / B Tech (Mechanical / Chemical)
 MBA - Preferred

 Minimum 15 years of relevant Sales experience, with 5 years in a sales Manager role

Sales Strategy & Execution

 Strong ability to execute regional sales plans with national business goals.
 Expertise in consultative and solution-based selling, particularly for complex turnkey and EPC projects in water and wastewater treatment (including WTPs, ETPs, STPs, RO, UF, and ZLD systems).
 Skilled at identifying and pursuing high-value business opportunities across Private, Industrial, and Commercial segments.

Business Development & Relationship Management

 Proven ability to build, nurture, and sustain long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders such as industrial clients, government agencies, consultants, and EPC contractors.
 Proactive in leveraging market intelligence sources like tender portals, industry events, and regulatory updates to generate and capture high-quality leads.

Leadership & Team Management

 Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring, motivating, and managing sales teams, including setting KPIs and driving performance improvements.
 Competent in managing team dynamics and fostering a results-driven, accountable culture.
Negotiation & Commercial Acumen
 Skilled in managing the end-to-end sales process, including lead generations, proposal development, pricing strategies, negotiations, and contract closure.
 Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical, legal, and finance teams to ensure proposals are commercially viable and compliant.

Market Intelligence & Analytical Skills

 Aptitude for monitoring competitor strategies, pricing trends, and technology shifts to inform sales approaches and product positioning.
 Ability to provide actionable insights and feedback to product development and marketing teams.

Job Description

Digital Proficiency

 Proficient in CRM tools and MS Office Suite to manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and reporting. 

Other Skills

 Self-driven, goal-oriented professional with readiness to travel extensively across industrial clusters in North India.
 Strong communication skills, fluent in English and regional languages.
 Experience working in multinational companies is preferred 

Position Details

Key Accountabilities: List the key areas of responsibility

Sales Strategy & Business Development

 Execute regional sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
 Identify and pursue high-value business opportunities in Private, Industrial, and Commercial segments.
 Monitor tender portals, industry trends, regulatory updates, and market developments to proactively capture leads.
 Generate adequate sales inquiries to meet or exceed target sales numbers.
 Expand market share by penetrating existing and new industrial clusters across the region.
 Manage sales budgets and ensure an optimal cost-to-revenue ratio to maximize profitability

Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management

 Build, maintain, and strengthen strategic relationships with industrial clients, government bodies, consultants, and EPC contractors.
 Ensure high customer satisfaction levels to improve retention rates and foster long-term loyalty.
 Act as a trusted advisor to key accounts, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.

Sales Execution & Deal Closure

 Lead the end-to-end sales cycle including lead qualification, proposal development, commercial negotiation, and deal closure.
 Improve sales conversion rate by effectively converting leads into finalized sales.
 Collaborate with technical, legal, and finance teams to develop commercially viable and compliant proposals. 
 Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets consistently.
 Maintain forecast accuracy by aligning actual sales with forecasted figures.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

 Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales engineers and business development executives.
 Set clear KPIs and performance targets, conduct regular reviews, and drive corrective actions.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

 Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and technology trends within the industry.
 Provide timely feedback and insights to product development and marketing teams to refine solutions and positioning.
 Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports for management review
