Position:          Lab Chemist

Location:         Vapi

Responsibilities:   

• Chemical Analysis & Testing
• Conduct regular chemical analysis of plating baths, rinse tanks, and process solutions.
• Prepare standard solutions and reagents for analysis.
• Perform titrations, pH, conductivity, and concentration checks.
• Process Monitoring & Control
• Monitor plating bath parameters (metal content, additives, pH, temperature).
• Maintain plating bath quality through timely replenishment of chemicals.
• Assist in troubleshooting process deviations and suggest corrective actions.
• Quality Assurance
• Test plated samples for thickness, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and appearance.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and share reports with supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF / customer quality standards.
• Safety & Housekeeping
• Handle chemicals safely as per MSDS guidelines.
• Follow lab safety protocols and maintain clean & organized lab environment.
• Dispose of chemical waste as per environmental norms.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain daily logbooks, analysis reports, and bath history charts.
• Support internal & external audits by providing lab records and reports.    

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of basic analytical chemistry techniques (titration, gravimetric, instrumental).
• Understanding of electroplating processes (Nickel, Zinc, Chrome, Tin, etc.).
• Ability to interpret test results and identify abnormalities.
• Good record-keeping, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices.
• MS Excel / ERP system knowledge for data entry & reporting (preferred).

Required Qualification: - B.Sc/M.Sc - Chemistry 

Salary: - Upto 2.04 LPA
