BUNDLING SUPERVISOR FOR METAL INDUSTRY - TUBULAR POLES/HIGH MAST - TILDA , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

The Bundling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the bundling operations on the shop floor. This includes supervising a team of bundling operators and helpers, ensuring timely and accurate bundling of finished goods, maintaining quality and packaging standards, and coordinating with related departments like dispatch, production, and quality.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

📦 Bundling & Packing Operations

• Supervise daily bundling activities, including grouping, strapping, wrapping, and labeling of finished products.

• Ensure all bundles are packed according to standard specifications and dispatch schedules.

• Monitor usage of packing materials (tapes, straps, shrink films, etc.).

• Coordinate with production and dispatch teams for smooth workflow.

👷 Team Supervision

• Manage and allocate work to bundling operators, helpers, and contract laborers.

• Train team members on bundling methods, safety practices, and product handling.

• Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline on the floor.

✔️ Quality & Compliance

• Ensure correct labeling, barcoding, and bundle counts.

• Conduct random checks on bundled goods for damage, count, and packing quality.

• Maintain compliance with SOPs, company quality standards, and safety norms.

📑 Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily bundling reports, material consumption logs, and shift handover notes.

• Record defects, delays, or discrepancies and escalate to management.

• Update ERP or manual records as per company policy.

⚠️ Safety & Housekeeping

• Ensure all workers use proper PPE and follow safety rules.

• Maintain clean and organized bundling areas.

• Report any unsafe conditions or near-miss incidents.

🎓 Qualifications:

📘 Education:

• Minimum: ITI in Fitter, Packaging, Printing, Mechanical, or relevant trade.

• Preferred: Diploma in Mechanical / Packaging / Printing Technology / Production.

👷 Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in bundling, packaging, or related production environment.

• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

🧠 Key Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge of bundling machines and tools

• Leadership and team coordination skills

• Attention to detail for bundle quality and count

• Ability to follow production plans and targets

• Basic computer or ERP data entry skills

• Understanding of dispatch and warehouse coordination
