Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Manage end-to-end transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and accuracy.
Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and other service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Monitor logistics KPIs and generate reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and government regulations.
Optimize logistics costs through route planning, freight negotiations, and improved processes.
Lead and manage the logistics team, providing training and performance feedback.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams for smooth supply chain operations.
Implement technology and automation to improve efficiency in logistics processes.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and distribution practices.
Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems, WMS, and MS Office tools.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional coordination.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
7–10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Experience in [industry-specific logistics – e.g., construction, manufacturing, retail, FMCG, etc. if relevant].
Knowledge of legal regulations, customs clearance, and transportation laws.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
On-time delivery performance
Logistics cost efficiency (cost per shipment/unit)
Inventory accuracy and stock levels
Warehouse utilization and efficiency
Customer satisfaction related to logistics services
