Hiring Plumbing Technician/Supervisor for Real Estate Company - Ghana Location

Job Description:

Objective:
The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in the installation involving PRR, PVC, and HDPE piping works with quality, safety, and timely completion of the work in Multi-story residential/commercial building project.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Execution

• Oversee daily plumbing activities, ensuring installation of PRR, PVC, and HDPE piping systems as per project drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and other trades to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth workflow.
• Supervise plumbing teams and subcontractors to maintain quality and productivity.
• Supervise installation of water supply, drainage, rainwater, and fire-fighting piping systems.
• Ensure correct use of PRR, PVC, and HDPE piping, fittings, and accessories.
• Monitor alignment, jointing methods, leak tests, and pressure tests as per standards.
• Ensure proper clamping, insulation, and support for vertical and horizontal runs in multi-storey projects

Quality Control

• Ensure plumbing work is executed in compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections of ongoing and completed installations before consultant/third-party inspections.
• Enforce safety measures for workers during cutting, welding, threading, and testing operations.
• Supervise hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing of piping systems.
• Coordinate with consultants for inspection approvals and sign-offs.
• Assist in flushing, disinfection, and commissioning of plumbing systems.

Coordination

• Coordinate with site engineers and other trade supervisors (plumbing, electrical) for sequencing.
• Communicate issues and suggest resolutions to site management.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain daily work progress records.
• Prepare and submit manpower and material consumption reports.
• Record and report site measurements, mock-ups, and approvals.
• Safety Compliance
• Ensure all workers follow PPE and safety protocols.
• Identify and mitigate any hazards during tile cutting or handling.

Skills and Competencies Required

• Proven experience in PRR, PVC, and HDPE piping works on multi-storey building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Hands-on experience in supervising plumbing teams.
• Eye for detail and quality finishing.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Hands-on experience in supervising plumbing teams.
