STORE & DISPATCH MANAGER FOR SOLAR ENERGY INDUSTRY - INVERTERS/BATTERIES - DURG , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
The Store & Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of inventory, warehouse storage, and the timely dispatch of goods. This role ensures optimal stock levels, proper documentation, coordination with logistics partners, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The manager will lead a team of storekeepers and dispatch personnel to maintain operational efficiency and accuracy.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
📦 Store Management:

Oversee receiving, storage, and issuance of materials and finished goods.

Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock audits and reconciliations.

Implement and monitor FIFO/LIFO and stock rotation procedures.
-
Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and storage of items.
-
Maintain stock records using manual registers and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/etc.).
-
Plan and maintain re-order levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
🚚 Dispatch & Logistics:

Schedule and manage dispatch of goods to customers or branches.

Coordinate with transport vendors and logistics partners for timely deliveries.

Prepare dispatch documents like delivery challans, invoices, and e-way bills.

Monitor shipment tracking and handle delivery-related issues.

Ensure goods are packed, labeled, and loaded correctly.
🧠Process Management & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and government regulations.

Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in warehouse operations.

Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for store and dispatch functions.

Coordinate with production, purchase, and sales departments for smooth workflow.
👥 Team Leadership:

Supervise and train warehouse and dispatch staff.

Allocate daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure discipline.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
📋 Qualifications:
🎓 Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or related field.
📜 Certifications (Preferred):

Certified in Logistics, Inventory Management, or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally).

Lean Six Sigma (optional, beneficial for process improvement roles)
