Mandatory:
The Application Support Engineer will work in shifts (excluding night shifts).
Must have hands-on experience in deploying and supporting applications built on the Java stack in a Linux environment.
Proficient in working with PostgreSQL database technology.
Experienced in deploying web applications on Apache web servers.
Strong hands-on experience with the Linux operating system.
Practical experience with IBM WebSphere MQ Series (both MQ Server and Client) is required.
Knowledge:
The incumbent must possess strong proficiency in the following areas: Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Java, REST APIs, and React JS.
Basic troubleshooting skills for both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Ability to provide first-level support for LAN and WAN networks.
Capable of accurately understanding and diagnosing technical issues over the phone and delivering appropriate support.
A good understanding of ISO 20022 standards and payment systems is a plus.

Job Purpose:
To provide application support and maintenance for Java-based applications, along with offering member support via phone and email.
Area of Operations Key Responsibility
Application Support and Maintenance
Provide both technical and functional support to member banks via telephone and email
Application Deployment and Maintenance: Responsible for the deployment and ongoing maintenance of assigned projects.
Production Support: Ensure production support for payment systems by performing the following tasks:
Beginning of Day (BOD) activities
Intra-day application monitoring
End of Day (EOD) activities
Patch upgrades
Web server installation
Troubleshooting and analysis
Maintaining production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deploying production releases
Investigating user queries through database queries (SQL), application log file analysis, order and trade issues, and application flow interruptions
Team Liaison: Collaborate with other teams, including Network, Infrastructure, and System Administration.
Member Bank Support: Provide both technical and functional support to member banks via telephone and email.
User Coordination: Coordinate with users to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Any Other Requirement: WORKING CONDITIONS
Should be ready to work in pressure situations and in Shifts (No night shift).
