Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute procurement activities for infrastructure projects (civil, roads, bridges, utilities, etc.).

  • Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and finalize suppliers/subcontractors based on technical and commercial parameters.

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and timely procurement.

  • Coordinate with project, engineering, and finance teams to forecast material requirements and manage budgets.

  • Maintain approved vendor lists; identify and develop new vendors for key materials and services.

  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual terms.

  • Track and manage material delivery schedules to ensure project timelines are met.

  • Prepare procurement MIS reports, purchase orders, and maintain documentation for audits.

  • Manage logistics and coordinate with transporters for material movement to project sites.

  • Handle reconciliation of purchase orders, vendor bills, and resolve disputes related to materials or payments.

  • Monitor market trends, identify potential risks, and suggest cost-effective procurement strategies.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure project materials, equipment, and vendor base.

  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.

  • Proficient in ERP / SAP / MS Excel for procurement tracking.

  • Good communication and coordination skills with site and HO teams.

  • Understanding of commercial terms, taxation (GST, TDS), and contract management.

  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
