Job Description:
A Production and Operation Head is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability. Key duties include developing production schedules, managing budgets, supervising staff, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement. They collaborate with other departments to align production with business goals and analyze data to identify areas for optimization.
Responsibilities

Production and planning:Develop and implement production schedules, manage resource allocation, and oversee day-to-day operations to meet production targets.

Team management:Supervise, train, and motivate the production workforce, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative environment.

Quality control:Establish and maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process, conduct audits, and ensure products meet requirements.

Cost management:Monitor and control production costs, manage budgets, and implement cost-saving strategies to maximize profitability.

Safety and compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental standards, and implement protocols to create a safe working environment.

Continuous improvement:Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends and implement process improvements, such as lean manufacturing, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Cross-functional collaboration:Work with other departments, including engineering, supply chain, and sales, to align production with overall business objectives.

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Management is typically required.
- Significant proven experience in a production or operations management role is necessary.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
- Familiarity with concepts like Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems is often beneficial.
- Proficiency in data analysis and budgeting is crucial.
