Project and Operations Engineer based at Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh)

Job Description:

The Project Execution and Operations Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the execution, commissioning, and operational activities of turnkey projects, with a strong focus on cryogenic plant systems. The role involves managing project, site construction, supervising installation and commissioning, and ensuring smooth plant operations in alignment with project schedules, safety standards, and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities during project execution and commissioning phases.
• Ensure work progress aligns with project timelines, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Manage manpower, subcontractors, and material logistics efficiently at site.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and quality teams for seamless project delivery.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installations related to cryogenic systems.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks in line with project QA/QC standards.

2. Test Facility -Cryogenic equipment Operations:

• Operate and monitor Cryogenic liquids storage, vaporization, regulation & Flow systems.
• Ensure smooth and safe operation of process equipment such as pumps, vaporizers, valves, and control systems.
• Support the startup, shutdown, and emergency handling of systems as per standard operating procedures.
• Record and analyze operational data to optimize plant performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment health and minimal downtime.

3. Safety, Quality, and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements during execution and operations.
• Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
• Maintain complete documentation for QA/QC, commissioning, and operational phases.

4. Reporting and Coordination:

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly site progress and operational reports.
• Liaise with vendors, consultants, and internal teams for site coordination and project reviews.
• Support project handover activities, including preparation of as-built drawings, test reports, and O&M manuals.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in turnkey project execution and cryogenic equipment plant operation.
• In-depth understanding of LNG regasification process, cryogenic systems, and related equipment.
• Proven experience in site execution, commissioning, and plant operational management.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs, layout drawings, and process control systems.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental standards for LNG operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools (MS Project / Primavera).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites as per project requirements.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in EPC / Turnkey projects involving cryogenic systems, LNG re-gas plants
• Hands-on exposure to DCS/PLC-based control systems and instrumentation in LNG or gas facilities.
