Job Description:
- Production planning and strategy: Develop and execute production schedules, allocate resources, and create budgets to meet company goals and customer timelines.
- Team leadership and development: Hire, train, and manage production staff. Foster a culture of high performance and craftsmanship, and conduct performance reviews.
- Quality control: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures throughout every stage of the custom furniture-making process, from cutting and assembly to finishing and packaging.
- Process improvement: Analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement strategies, such as lean manufacturing, to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Inventory management: Oversee inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods, working with procurement to ensure timely material availability.
- Safety and compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain all production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure a safe work environment.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with other departments like design, sales, and quality assurance to ensure seamless communication and smooth operations.
- Reporting: Prepare production reports and analyze data for senior management.
