Job Description:
The Horticulturist / Environmental Engineer will lead biodiversity and plantation initiatives across renewable energy sites, including the development of biodiversity parks and agrivoltaics projects. The role ensures ecological integration with operational sites, compliance with ESIA requirements, and alignment with the organization’s sustainability goals.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•Plan, design, and implement biodiversity parks and ecological zones within solar and wind farms.
•Promote and maintain native, drought-resistant, and pollinator-friendly species for sustainable landscapes.
•Develop and manage agrivoltaics initiatives integrating renewable energy and sustainable agriculture.
•Assist in biodiversity assessments and develop Biodiversity Management Plans (BMPs) aligned with IFC, TNFD, and national standards.
•Ensure compliance with Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
•Oversee plantation, irrigation, and maintenance programs to enhance survival and ecosystem value.
•Maintain survival rate and plantation progress records through systematic monitoring and reporting.
•Support environmental monitoring, audits, and reporting under ESG and sustainability frameworks.
•Engage with local communities and NGOs to implement plantation and conservation initiatives.
•Coordinate with environmental consultants and statutory bodies for approvals, audits, and compliance documentation.
