Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline: identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory / vertical.

  • Generate leads via cold-calling, referrals, networking, market visits, and digital outreach; convert leads to meetings and ultimately to sales.

  • Understand customer needs, articulate company offerings, prepare & deliver persuasive presentations/proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.

  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets as set by management.

  • Regularly update CRM (or sales tracking system) with accurate data: leads, prospects, quotations, orders, feedback, lost reasons.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, product developments and provide market intelligence to the management.

  • Coordinate internally with marketing, operations, product, and customer-service teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, customer events, and undertake field visits as required.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in Business, Marketing, Commerce or any discipline) is preferred.

  • 2-4 years of demonstrated sales experience (B2B / corporate / field) with consistent achievement of targets. (Examples: “2-4 years in IT software sales” Kanishka Software Private Limited+1)

  • Strong communication (verbal & written), presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to close deals.

  • Target-driven mindset with high levels of motivation, self-initiative and resilience.

  • Good planning and organisational skills, ability to manage multiple leads/opportunities simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Willingness to travel within the territory, meet customers face-to-face as needed.


Desirable / Preferred:

  • Experience in the industry vertical of the company (e.g., FMCG, software, diagnostics, manufacturing) would be a plus. (See example: “2-4 years Field Sales Executive in Pharma/Diagnostics” Adzuna)

  • Knowledge of the local market/territory, customer segments and channels.

  • Existing network of contacts in the region or industry.

  • Ability to work from field independently and meet deadlines.
