  • Monitor environment health (availability, performance, stability) and respond to incidents/alerts.

  • Collaborate with software, operations, security, and DevOps teams to define and apply environment standards, guardrails and best practices.

  • Optimize resource usage, environment cost, and lifecycle (creation → teardown) of development/test environments.

  • Document environment architecture, runbooks, configuration guides, and onboarding processes.

  • Assist in access controls, environment hardening, configuration management, patching/upgrades, backups/disaster recovery planning.

  • Participate in root-cause analysis for environment-related issues and implement improvements.

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in backend infrastructure, environment engineering, DevOps or related roles.

  • Some experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or hybrid/on-prem infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) or configuration management tools.

  • Understanding of containerisation / orchestration concepts (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) — at least exposure.

  • Good scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

  • Basic knowledge of monitoring/observability tools & logging practices.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across teams.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and learn quickly.

Preferred / Desirable

  • Experience with multi-region or large-scale backend systems.

  • Knowledge of network, security, and configuration management in infrastructure contexts.

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration with backend environments.

  • Understanding of cost/usage optimisation of cloud or infrastructure resources.

  • Experience in the infrastructure or construction sector (given infrastructure business domain) would be a plus.
