Civil Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

Role Summary

As a Civil Engineer at Beil Infra, you will work on site and in the office, supporting project execution, monitoring, quality control, and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders. You’ll ensure that civil works meet design, schedule, cost, safety and quality norms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation and review of drawings, specifications, BOQ (bill of quantities), and project documentation.

  • Support site execution: monitor daily work, supervise contractors/sub-contractors, ensure compliance with drawings and scope.

  • Conduct site inspections, check material deliveries, workmanship, and ensure quality standards are adhered to.

  • Monitor progress against schedule, report deviations, coordinate with project manager/lead for corrective actions.

  • Ensure adherence to safety, environment, statutory norms and maintain site HSE records.

  • Coordinate with design/structural/MEP teams and vendors for technical clarifications, changes and approvals.

  • Assist in cost tracking, measurement of works, preparation of progress reports and log updates.

  • Work with team to ensure efficient resource usage (labour, material, equipment) and highlight variances.

  • Prepare site diaries, daily/weekly reports, maintain documentation (photos, logs, QC checklists).

  • Support handover and commissioning of completed civil works as required.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

  • 2-3 years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure or building projects (site/field exposure preferred).

  • Good understanding of civil engineering fundamentals: structural works, concrete technology, finishing works, formwork, reinforcement, etc.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, structural/architectural plans, BOQ and schedules.

  • Basic knowledge of estimation, quantity take-off, measurement of works and cost tracking.

  • Familiar with MS Office (Excel, Word), and ideally exposure to CAD/AutoCAD or similar tools.

  • Good communication and coordination skills, ability to work in a multi-discipline team and interface with contractors, vendors, site staff.

  • Willingness to travel to sites, stay at site when needed, and adapt to field conditions.

  • Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude, and ability to report clearly and timely.

Preferred / Desirable

  • Experience in infrastructure (roads, bridges, industrial buildings, etc) or large-scale residential/commercial projects.

  • Familiarity with quality control/assurance – QC checklists, testing of materials (concrete, soil, aggregate), understanding of standards.

  • Exposure to project scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera) or site management software.

  • Awareness of site safety norms, environment regulations, statutory compliances (e.g., labour laws) and ability to enforce them.

  • Prior exposure to cost management, vendor/subcontractor coordination and change management processes.
