Job Description:

Job Purpose:
To ensure the safety and security of company premises, personnel, cargo, and assets through
continuous monitoring, patrolling, surveillance, and reporting. The Security & CCTV Operations
Officer will be responsible for handling emergencies, monitoring suspicious activities, maintaining
surveillance systems, and coordinating with management and other departments for security
compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Security Operations
Respond immediately to any emergency situation, including fire incidents, accidents, or large
gatherings.
Ensure proper handover/takeover during shift changes.
Monitor boundary walls and surrounding areas to prevent intrusion, theft, or trespassing; promptly
report to Security Officer/Supervisor via VHF.
Conduct regular checks on all vehicles, containers, and cargo within the premises.
Maintain records of vehicle tracking, container movement, and cargo loading/unloading reports.
Verify presence of surveyors during stuffing/de-stuffing operations.
Ensure no flammable or hazardous materials enter the premises without authorization.
Report and act on any anti-social or suspicious activity.
Maintain vigilance in vulnerable or critical areas.
2. CCTV Surveillance & Monitoring
Ensure all CCTV cameras, controllers, and software are fully operational at all times.
Conduct playback checks for import/export cargo movement; report any discrepancies to the
Security Officer group.
Monitor live CCTV feeds for suspicious activity, theft, vandalism, or operational violations.
Record and maintain incident logs for all observed activities.
Ensure all CCTV footage is stored securely and viewed only within the control room.
Protect privacy and confidentiality of all monitored footage in compliance with company policy.
Ensure monitoring is carried out ethically, professionally, and legally.
3. GPS & Vehicle Tracking
Monitor GPS tracking reports for all transport vehicles every two hours.
Report non-functional or disconnected GPS devices to Transport Department and IT for rectification.
Track export and import vehicles between ACFS, ports, and terminals; report any stoppages or
deviations.
Follow up on alerts such as battery disconnection from GPS devices and notify relevant groups
immediately.
4. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and send Daily Security Situation Reports, GPS tracking reports, and CCTV incident
summaries.
Maintain shift handover registers and playback review records.
Document all violations, suspicious activities, or equipment malfunctions.
Report sleeping staff or negligence during shifts to HR with photographic evidence.
5. Safety & Compliance
Coordinate with the fire department during hazardous cargo operations.

Monitor the loading of chemicals, cotton, or other high-risk materials ensuring the presence of
safety officers/firemen.
Ensure segregation of waste and prevent cargo from being mixed with garbage for disposal.
Follow all company and legal safety standards and participate in regular training.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong observation and situational awareness skills.
Proficiency in CCTV operations and playback systems.
Knowledge of GPS vehicle tracking systems.
Ability to respond quickly and calmly during emergencies.
Excellent communication and reporting skills (email, WhatsApp, and VHF communication).
Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in industrial/security/CFS operations.
Prior experience in CCTV control room or logistics security preferred.
Basic IT knowledge for handling surveillance software and GPS systems.
Training in fire safety, first aid, or industrial security is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
Rotational shifts (day/night).
Continuous monitoring duties in control room.
Coordination with multiple departments (Transport, IT, HR, Fire & Safety).
