Plant Head - Operations

Job Description:

• Production & Operations Management

  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily production to achieve targets.

  • Ensure efficient use of manpower, machinery, and materials.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

• Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain product quality in line with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and defect reduction.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, or other applicable standards.

• Safety & Environment

  • Enforce safety, health, and environmental regulations across the plant.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

  • Promote a culture of zero accidents and environmental responsibility.

• Maintenance & Equipment Management

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure smooth functioning of machinery, utilities, and plant infrastructure.

  • Plan for equipment upgrades or replacements as required.

• Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and motivate multi-functional teams in production, maintenance, and quality.

  • Identify training needs and support skill development initiatives.

  • Foster a performance-driven and collaborative work culture.

• Resource & Cost Management

  • Monitor and control operational costs while maintaining efficiency.

  • Optimize utilization of raw materials, energy, and manpower.

  • Implement waste reduction and energy efficiency initiatives.

• Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination

  • Ensure availability of raw materials and manage inventory efficiently.

  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to avoid production disruptions.

• Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Track KPIs like OEE, downtime, yield, and production efficiency.

  • Prepare reports for senior management and recommend improvements.
