DM to Manager - Purchase

Floating of inquiry / Preparation of comparative statement / Technical Comparison / Costing and Estimation preparation for negotiation pertaining to steel and other exotic metal procurement.

Preparation of Purchase order and Follow-up for order acknowledgement.

Alternative / New Vendor development.

Timely clearance of payment to vendor.

Preparation of job work challan / closure of challan and reconciliation of job work material.

Maintain documentation as per the standards.

Look after import purchase activities.

Identify ARC items and get management's approval for implementation.

Preparation of costing sheet for sheet metal work, fabrication, power pack, cylinder, etc.

Monitor supplier's performance to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

Carryout inward material inspection as and when required.

Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste to optimize customer service.

Maintain documentation as per ISO requirements.

Exposure to imports purchase

Strong verbal and written communication skills (Includes e-mail communication)

Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

Open to work in team as well as independently

Diploma / BE Mechanical ( Diploma or PG Diploma in Procurement or Supply Chain Management would be added advantage)    

10 to 14 years of experience in heavy manufacturing procurement, similar product manufacturers.

Exposure to import purchase.
