Job Description:

ob Purpose:

To lead and manage the processing operations of the knitting division, ensuring optimum quality, efficiency, and productivity in yarn-dyed and auto-striper fabric processing—from knitting to washing and finishing—while maintaining process consistency and compliance with production standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end processing operations for knitted yarn-dyed and auto-striper fabrics, including washing, finishing, and quality control.

  • Plan and execute daily production schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to targets.

  • Supervise and monitor machine performance, process parameters, and manpower utilization across shifts.

  • Ensure process standardization and consistency in quality across different lots and batches.

  • Coordinate closely with knitting, dyeing, and finishing teams to streamline production flow.

  • Monitor shade matching, hand feel, shrinkage, and GSM control for all fabric types.

  • Implement process improvements to optimize chemical usage, reduce rework, and improve efficiency.

  • Maintain records of production, process deviations, and corrective actions.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISO, 5S, EHS, etc.).

  • Handle machine maintenance coordination with the engineering department for minimal downtime.

  • Provide training and guidance to shift engineers, supervisors, and operators to enhance skill levels and productivity.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of knitted fabric processing, washing, and finishing.

  • Expertise in yarn-dyed and auto-striper fabric behavior and processing techniques.

  • Good understanding of fabric construction, GSM, shrinkage, and finishing effects.

  • Familiarity with processing machinery (stenter, compactor, washing range, hydro extractor, dryer, etc.).

  • Analytical and problem-solving ability for process control and troubleshooting.

  • Leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.

  • Knowledge of textile chemicals, auxiliaries, and process optimization.

  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.
