Purchase Executive/Engineer

Job Description:

Developing, leading and executing purchasing strategies
 Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses
and improve effectiveness
 Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal
terms
 Assess, manage and mitigate risks
 Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
 Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
 Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
 Ensure timely processing of indents raised by user departments
and generation of required purchase orders
 Coordinate for procurement and delivery of goods from vendor to
plant stores
 Establish a stable supplier base that will allow for consistent
availability of all required consumables, Spare parts and services
 Work with ERP systems for all purchase related activities and
reporting.
 Maintaining all records related to Purchase and procurement.
 Regular Weekly & Monthly reports
 Achieve cost reduction targets through negotiations, alternate
sourcing and vendor development

Skills

 Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
 Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
 Solid judgement along with decision making skills
 Strong leadership capabilities
 Effective verbal/written communication
 Ability to work and handle purchase department and team
independently.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office specially Excel.
 Education - Graduate
 Experience – 0 to 3 Years relevant experience is must.
