Job Description:

 Position:         Maintenance Head

Location:         Silvassa

Experience:     15 - 20 Years

Industries:      Marble

Responsibilities:        

• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all production and utility equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machinery used in Marble and Quartz production, including:
• o Gang Saw Machines (for marble block cutting)
• o Wire Saw Machines (for block dressing and cutting)
• o Keda Polishing Line
• o Linto Polishing Line
• o Veegoo Resin Line and Dryer System
• o Bridge Cutters, Edge Cutters, Calibration Machines, and CNC Profiling Machines
• o Compressors, EOT Cranes, Hydraulic Systems, and Water Treatment Units
• Supervise a team of mechanical and electrical technicians to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Analyze root causes of breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Ensure minimum downtime and maximum efficiency of all process lines.
• Manage maintenance spares inventory and procurement planning to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with OEMs and service engineers (Linto, Keda, Veegoo, etc.) for machine troubleshooting, upgrades, and AMC.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and machine history records.
• Plan and execute annual shutdown maintenance and installation of new machinery.
• Implement safety and compliance standards as per company and statutory norms.
• Support process improvement, cost reduction, and energy-saving initiatives.
• Ensure coordination with production, quality, and utility teams for seamless plant operation.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Gang Saw, Wire Saw, Linto, Keda, and Veegoo machines.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PLC automation and CNC machine maintenance.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance planning.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assemblies, drives, motors, gearboxes, and control panels.
• Knowledge of spare parts management and vendor coordination.
• Understanding of equipment safety norms, lubrication, and predictive maintenance tools.
