Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Role Purpose
To design, develop, program, and commission industrial automation systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and
control panels, ensuring efficient system performance, reliability, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ System Design & Development  Develop automation concepts based on client

requirements.
 Prepare I/O list, control philosophy, and system
architecture.
 Coordinate with Design team for panel drawings and
layouts.

2️⃣ Technical Evaluation  Develop and modify PLC programs.
 Design and configure HMI/SCADA screens.
 Perform logic testing and debugging.

3️⃣ Panel & System Integration  Support control panel wiring and integration.
 Configure PLC, HMI, VFD, and other automation devices.
 Ensure proper communication between devices (Modbus,
Ethernet/IP, etc.).

4️⃣ Testing & Commissioning  Conduct Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
 Supervise installation and commissioning at site.
 Troubleshoot system issues during startup.

5️⃣ Documentation & Reporting  Prepare technical documentation and manuals.
 Maintain program backup and revision records.
 Submit commissioning and project reports

6️⃣ Client Coordination  Understand client technical requirements.
 Provide technical support and training to customers.
 Handle modifications and after-sales support if required.

Educational Requirements

Required bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Preferred Diploma,Be,Betech
Competencies / Skills  PLC Programming (Siemens / Schneider Allen Bradley /

Delta etc.)
 HMI & SCADA Development
 Electrical Drawing & Schematic Reading
 Knowledge of VFD, Sensors, and Industrial Instruments
 Industrial Communication Protocols
 Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
 Site Commissioning Skills
 Technical Documentation
 Communication & Client Handling Skills
