Key responsibilities

Coverage & ideas: Build and maintain coverage (10–20 stocks to start). Source ideas across sectors using screens, scuttlebutt, and primary data.

Financial modelling: 3-statement models, segment builds, drivers, scenario analysis, DCF/SOTP and simple checklists for sanity checks.

Research notes: Initiations, result updates (same-day), event notes, and 6-point “Fast Research” client briefs.

Management & industry work: Track concalls, AGMs, investor days; create crisp takeaways; run channel checks where feasible.

Data & compliance: Maintain model hygiene, source citations, version control, and compliance-ready working papers.

Client enablement: Convert research into simple, action-oriented talking points, decks, and WhatsApp/Telegram snippets.

Day-to-day deliverables

1–2 result flashes on busy days (concise bullets + quick model tweaks).

Weekly idea memo: thesis, drivers, risks, valuation, triggers.

Monthly sector scan: metrics, relative valuations, leadership changes, key events.

Quarterly model audits: reconcile with reported numbers and guidance.

Skills & tools

Strong accounting and valuation fundamentals; comfort with working-capital and cash-flow analysis.

Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; PowerPoint; comfort with Screener.in, Trendlyne/Tijori, ACE/CMIE, BSE/NSE filings, RBI/SEBI data.

Nice-to-have: Python/R for quick data work, Power BI/Looker for dashboards, basic SQL.

Writing: ability to explain complex things in simple, human language.

Qualifications

BCom/BA(Econ)/BBA/BE acceptable; MBA/CA/CFA preferred (any level).
