Brief Job Description: Loading Supervisors are also known as Dispatch Supervisors or Supervisors.
Individuals in this role are responsible for checking inbound or outbound goods,
recording information regarding the shipment of goods, allocating work, and supervising the loading and unloading function.
Key responsibilities
- Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the activities of workers involved in loading and unloading.
- Task assignment: Assign jobs to workers based on schedules and loading/unloading plans.
- Safety: Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with company and legal standards to prevent damage and injuries.
- Quality control: Inspect items for damage or discrepancies during the loading and unloading process.
- Documentation: Verify that materials loaded or unloaded match the work order or bill of lading.
- Workflow optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow, minimize downtime, and ensure efficient movement of goods.
