Job Summary

Lead the greenfield startup of the NOOLS instant noodles factory and establish stable, efficient, and scalable production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1 -  Factory Startup & Commissioning

 

•         Oversee           end-to-end       plant             setup:  utilities,             production             lines, packaging, storage, ETP/boiler, and safety systems.

•         Coordinate with equipment vendors, contractors, and consultants for installation, commissioning, and performance validation.

•         Establish and implement SOPs for production, safety, quality, preventive maintenance, and reporting.

•         Ensure all statutory licenses, FSSAI, labour, and environmental compliances are obtained and in place before start of production.

 

Phase 2 - Recruitment & Team Building

 

•         Build the core production and maintenance workforce from scratch for a multi-shift operation.

•         Define organization structure, role descriptions, shift patterns, and performance KPls for all plant roles.

•         Recruit, onboard, and train line operators, mechanics, supervisors, and plant technicians.

•         Instil a high-performance, safety-first, and quality-driven culture on the shop floor.

 

Phase 3 - Production Ramp-up & Stability

 

•         Achieve stable and consistent production line performance (target: 95% uptime, minimal wastage).

•         Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of downtime, breakdowns, and quality deviations.

•         Establish real-time production reporting systems (OEE, yield, throughput, rejection rates, etc.).

 

 

 

•       Coordinate with supply chain for raw material availability and with QA for batch approvals.

•       Continuously optimize manpower, changeover times, and energy consumption for cost efficiency.

 

Ongoing Strategic & Administrative Duties

 

•       Prepare and manage the plant's annual budgets (capex, apex, manpower).

•       Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety regulations, and food safety standards.

•       Conduct regular safety audits, quality reviews, and performance appraisaIs.

•       Foster cross-functional alignment with HR, Supply Chain, and Sales to support business goals.

•       Develop successors and build a leadership pipeline within the plant.
