Qualification: B.E. / Diploma in Civil Engineering
Experience: 2–5 Years
Budget: 5 LPA to 7 LPA
Job Summary:
The Quantity Estimator cum Tender Documentation Engineer will be responsible for preparing
accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and rate analyses for civil and infrastructure projects.
The role includes preparation of BOQs, tender documentation, bid submissions, and coordination
with vendors and clients. The candidate should have hands-on experience with government/PMC e-
tendering portals and strong analytical and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quantity Estimation & Costing
Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate quantity
take-offs.
Conduct detailed rate analysis for civil, structural, and finishing works.
Prepare cost estimates, material requirements, and budgetary forecasts.
Coordinate with project and procurement teams for updated material and labor rates.
2. Tender Preparation & Documentation
Prepare complete tender documents including technical and financial bids.
Compile and verify all necessary supporting documents for tender submission.
Manage tender documentation—clarifications, addendums, corrigenda, etc.
Maintain proper records of all tenders and submissions.
3. BOQ Preparation & Verification
Prepare and validate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) as per approved drawings and specifications.
Check and verify quantities received from contractors or consultants.
Assist in pre-bid queries and BOQ-related clarifications.
4. Vendor & Client Coordination
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for rate quotations and technical inputs.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal departments for submission and follow-up of
bids.
Support negotiations and assist in finalizing the tendering process.
5. E-Tendering & Portal Management
Upload, manage, and submit bids through government and PMC e-tendering portals.
Track tender notifications, download documents, and maintain tender status reports.
Ensure timely submission of bids and compliance with tender requirements.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain tender registers and estimation records.
Prepare MIS reports related to tendering, bid status, and costing.
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all documentation.
Required Skills:
Strong analytical, numerical, and estimation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with tender documentation procedures and e-tendering platforms.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
Knowledge of standard tendering practices (CPWD, PWD, etc.).
Exposure to cost estimation software or ERP systems (optional but advantageous).
