Job Description:
A Manager of QC/QA/NABL is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a company's quality management system to ensure compliance with industry standards, such as NABL accreditation. Key responsibilities include overseeing quality control processes, conducting internal and external audits, ensuring product quality through testing and inspections, resolving quality issues, managing documentation, and leading the QA/QC team. They also ensure all products and raw materials meet established specifications and work with other departments to maintain a culture of quality. 
 
Core responsibilities
  • Quality System Management: Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with relevant standards like NABL and ISO.
  • Process Oversight: Create and enforce quality control policies, procedures, and standards for all products and processes.
  • Auditing and Inspections: Plan and conduct internal and external audits, inspections, and tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Documentation: Maintain all quality-related documentation, including test reports, inspection records, and quality metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and train the QA/QC team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure team and departmental goals are met. 
 
Collaboration and compliance
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as production, research and development, and regulatory affairs, to address quality-related issues.
  • Customer and Vendor Interaction: Address customer complaints and quality-related correspondence, and verify contractor and vendor quality requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with and ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory standards and requirements. 
 
Skills and qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of quality control, quality assurance, and quality management systems (QMS) is crucial.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis to monitor quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of quality professionals.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach is required to scrutinize details and ensure thoroughness in quality assessments.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with various teams, management, clients, and vendors.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to effectively troubleshoot problems and implement solutions is key.
