Job Description:

Job Title: Wire Straightening Machine Operator
Location: Oman
Basic Salary: 130-150 OMR + Visa+ Ticket & Accommodation
Employment Type: Full-time

Duty hours- 10hrs +2hr daily OT

Key Responsibilities-

1. Machine Setup & Operation

• Check wire diameter according to the required Work Order (WO).
• Perform Pay-Off loading and ensure smooth feeding of wire into the machine.
• Operate forklift safely for material loading and handling.
• Carry out die setting and adjustment based on the wire diameter.
• Set and maintain the Wire Cutting Die (Blade) gap (not more than 4 mm).
•  Perform blade sharpening every 2 days or as required.

2. Production & Quality Control

• Set cutting length as per production requirements.
• Operate the wire straightening and cutting machine efficiently to achieve daily production targets.

• Inspect wire quality regularly to ensure:

- No burrs

- No bends

- Clean and accurate edges

• If burrs or bends appear, follow corrective actions as per machine setup guidelines (refer to die/ blade settings described in point 4).

3. Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
• Report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain tools, dies, and blades in good working condition.
• Ensure the work area is clean and organized at all times.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety rules and operational procedures.
• Ensure proper PPE usage during all activities.
•  Operate the forklift strictly following safety guidelines.

5. Cross-Department Support

• Work in other departments if required or when production in the primary area is not available.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating a wire straightening/ cutting machine preferred.
• Knowledge of die setting, blade sharpening, and machine adjustments.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
