Job Description:
A Civil Site Engineer with AutoCAD drawing detailing experience is responsible for creating and interpreting detailed technical drawings for construction projects, using AutoCAD software to translate concepts into buildable plans. Key responsibilities include producing plans for structures, roads, and utilities, ensuring drawings comply with standards, and collaborating with engineers and site teams to ensure accuracy on site. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, strong attention to detail, and the ability to conduct site inspections to monitor project progress against the approved plans.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD, including site layouts, road profiles, and utility schematics.
- Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback and site conditions.
- Ensure all drawings and details comply with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on completed drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and related project information.
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure work is executed according to the approved plans.
- Assist in preparing project estimates and schedules.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
Skills and qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a strong preference for AutoCAD Civil 3D for land development projects.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and structural details.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
