Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment by implementing and monitoring safety protocols in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The Safety Officer will be responsible for minimising risks and promoting a culture of safety across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:
•Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
•Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
•Investigate accidents or incidents to identify causes and recommend preventative measures.
•Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees.
•Maintain records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training.
•Recommend and implement improvements to workplace safety.
•Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
•Collaborate with management and workers to enhance health and safety performance.
•May require occasional travel to different sites or locations.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
•Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
•Knowledge of relevant safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
•Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to prepare and present clear safety reports and documentation.
