Designation: Senior Civil & Structural Engineer
Location: Ahmedabad, India

Job Summary:

We are looking for a technically proficient Senior Civil and Structural Engineer with proven expertise in the design and execution of foundations, structural systems, and Equipment supports for industrial projects. The role involves preparing detailed civil/structural designs, load calculations, and construction deliverables while ensuring compliance with national and international standards. The candidate will be engaged across the full project lifecycle; from design through construction support, covering Green Hydrogen, Solar, Oil & Gas, and Process Industry infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Engineering

• Design foundations (shallow and deep), Pipe Racks, Equipment Supports, buildings, and other Civil / Structural systems.
• Develop and issue civil/structural drawings, load calculations, and detailed BOQs in alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, ACI, Eurocode, and other relevant design standards, as well as client and project specifications.
• Perform structural analysis and modelling using tools such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, or similar software

2. Documentation & Deliverables

• Prepare design basis reports, calculation notes, GA drawings, reinforcement details, and material take-offs.
• Review and validate drawings, specifications, and calculations prepared by contractors and vendors.
• Provide inputs to multidisciplinary teams for civil-structural interfaces with process, mechanical, piping, and electrical disciplines

3. Vendor & Contractor Coordination

• Review vendor civil/structural inputs and ensure compatibility with overall plant layouts and project requirements.
• Support procurement teams with technical evaluation of vendor submissions. Coordinate with site teams to resolve design queries, RFIs, and interface issues during construction

4. Site Support & Execution Monitoring

• Provide technical support during civil construction, including foundation inspections, reinforcement checks, and field modifications.
• Conduct site visits for quality audits, compliance verification, and progress monitoring.
• Ensure adherence to HSE and QA/QC requirements at construction sites.

5. Project Integration & Reviews

• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability studies, and model reviews.
• Collaborate with PMC and project management teams to ensure structural design aligns with cost, schedule, and constructability targets.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred).
• 6 to 8 years of experience in Civil and Structural design for Process Industrial plants, Refineries, Renewable Energy projects, or Oil & Gas Plant.
• Strong expertise in structural analysis and design software: STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Indian Standards (IS), ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, and seismic/wind load design practices.
• Proven experience in preparing BOQs, Load calculations, and reinforcement detailing

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):

• Experience in Green Hydrogen, solar, process, or energy projects.
• Familiarity with project execution in EPC or PMC environments.
• Understanding of soil-structure interaction, dynamic load analysis, and seismic design.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to interface with site teams, consultants, and vendors.
• Knowledge of BIM tools (Revit, Tekla, Navisworks) for integrated design is an advantage.
